Ruggerbugs ™ is a rugby-based, physical activity programme for children between eighteen months and six years of age. Over the past nine years the company has grown from a single centre in Harlow, Essex to 20 today (June 2016). Naturally, looking after up to twenty plus, very excited kids demands a number of qualified and engaged staff, and as the company continues to grow at pace new staff are required nearly every week. So why should you work for Ruggerbugs?

Ruggerbugs offers a wonderful opportunity for anyone interested in working in the sports industry or working with children. It is a great ‘starting point’ for younger people wanting to begin their career in these fields. We  pride ourselves on delivering the highest quality of coaching and customer care, so in addition to coaching responsibilities, individuals will learn to establish and develop team and customer relationships, which are naturally, great skills for the individual moving forward. We are a family run business and like to consider ourselves fun and energetic – traits which are fundamental to Ruggerbugs!

It’s all about the FUN!

Gemma Willis, who is Lead Coach at the Harlow centre said: ‘When I applied for the job and attended the interview, I knew straight away that I would enjoy working for them. The staff were all very upbeat, extremely interactive and had already built such great relationships with the children’. Gemma, who also works teaching PE to primary school children went on to say: ‘I absolutely love working for Ruggerbugs. It is such a great company to work for, it is very family orientated and the staff at head office have such a close knit relationship and are extremely passionate about the company and what they are delivering to their customers. I think the development plan that we follow every week means that the sessions are always varied. There are lots of fun games and skills for the children to continuously be able to develop and build on their rugby skills. I also really enjoy seeing parents spending quality time with their children and bonding over physical activity which will hopefully continue through into their teen and adult years.’

Ruggerbugs is a great place to start your career in sport or with children and we would love to hear from you. Full training will be given on the RUGGERBUGS programme.
